Welcoming Shabbat in Song and Light

Each Friday evening at CBSRZ, we gather to kindle the Shabbat lights and transition from our busy routines into a peaceful, sacred atmosphere.

Our Friday Night Shabbat service often features uplifting music, inspiring teachings, and a warm sense of camaraderie. In addition to the traditional liturgy, clergy and lay leaders might share personal reflections or introduce a thematic focus for the evening.

After the service, congregants and guests often linger for an Oneg Shabbat, enjoying light refreshments and conversation. This fellowship deepens our connections, allowing us to share the joys and challenges of the week.

Whether you’re coming alone, with family, or with friends, Friday Night Shabbat offers a meaningful way to start your weekend.

Second Saturday Services

Join us every second Saturday at 10:30 am for a welcoming Shabbat morning service. With traditional liturgy, meaningful reflections, and a warm communal atmosphere, we come together to celebrate Shabbat in a way that fosters connection and spiritual engagement.

Shabbat Morning Service and Reflection

On the second Saturday of each month, join us for a Shabbat morning service. Led by clergy and featuring traditional prayers, Torah reading, and communal worship, this service offers a meaningful opportunity to come together in celebration of Shabbat.

In a warm and welcoming setting, we engage with Jewish tradition through prayer, reflection, and learning. Whether you attend regularly or are joining us for the first time, our Second Saturday Shabbat service provides a familiar yet special way to observe Shabbat together.

Special Shabbat Services & Events

Throughout the year, we offer themed Shabbat events—from Shabbat at Cedar Lake in the summer to Candlelight Shabbat in the winter. These special gatherings remind us that there is more than one way to celebrate Shabbat, while fostering both spiritual enrichment and community connection.

Celebrate Shabbat in Unique Ways

In addition to our regular Friday night and second Saturday morning worship, CBSRZ hosts a variety of special Shabbat services and events throughout the year. Each event offers an opportunity to explore Shabbat from a fresh angle, while deepening relationships and engaging in hands-on experiences that bring our faith to life.

Join us in celebrating Shabbat’s infinite possibilities.

Are You Choir Curious?

Our choir is a small group of congregants who simply enjoy singing together and helping bring music into our services throughout the year. You don’t need formal training or the ability to read music. If you like to sing and are open to learning, you’ll fit right in.

Rehearsals are relaxed, collaborative, and a great way to get to know people. If you have ever wondered what it might be like to add your voice, you are very welcome to come sit in and try it out.
