Conversions
Converting to Judaism is a profound spiritual journey that merges study, personal reflection, and communal participation. At CBSRZ, we welcome individuals from various backgrounds and life experiences, offering an inclusive environment for those exploring Jewish faith and identity.
Under the guidance of our rabbi, prospective Jews-by-Choice enroll in an Introduction to Judaism program and meet regularly, one-on-one, with the rabbi. Together, they engage in personalized learning about Jewish theology, history, ethics, and practices. This process often involves regular attendance at services, active participation in holiday observances, cultivating a Jewish home, and building relationships within the congregation.
Upon completing the required steps—culminating in a meeting with a Beit Din and immersion in the mikveh—candidates are warmly embraced into the Jewish community. Our goal is to ensure that each new Jew-by-choice feels informed, connected, and inspired.
